About the Guru

Dr. Priya Parab started learning Bharatnatyam at the tender age of 4 years under Guru Kalaimamani Smt. Indra Rajan of Vadhini Natyalaya, Chennai. She performed her Arangetram at the age of 9 at Chennai. Thereafter she persued the art with greater enthusiasm. She has given several performances both in India & abroad. Being a good carnatic vocalist and a veena player she took keen interest to receive training in the art of Nattuvngam from her Guru.

She started her career as guru early in her days as a Medical student. Her love for the art helped he to balance her studies as well as he classes. She is the President of the Indian Academy of Performing Arts a registered institute that conducts exams in Bharatnatyam & offers scholorships to students.

Dr.Priya is a medical graduate with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is an MBA in Hospital Administration from Adam Smith University, USA. She has completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology. 

Despite her demanding profession she finds time to nurture her young and enthusiastic students and bring out the best in them.

Sanjana Parab started learning Bharatnatyam from her guru and mother Dr. Priya at the age of 3 years. She performed her Arangetram at the age of 9 at Pune, Maharashtra. She then staged performances at various shows, events, competitions in India and abroad. She ranked second at state level for her Bharatnatyam performance with artistic skates. She was awarded the title of "Miss Sinhgad 2019" for her performance. To nurture her inborn talent of dance, she pursued Nattuvangam under the able guidance of her guru. 

Sanjana is a graduate in Business Administration. She has completed her post-graduation in Human Resource Management from Dublin City University, Ireland.
